# Maths

## Vision

We envision that the learning of mathematic has its own intrinsic value and that our creative curriculum will ensure that all students will develop an enjoyment and appreciation of its relevance and importance today.

Students will have opportunities to develop in the fundamentals of mathematics, reason mathematically, and apply their mathematics to solve challenging problems. Students will experience the fundamental mathematical knowledge and skills required in everyday life to learn, grow and thrive. They will develop the ability to think mathematically which will empower them to be successful and navigate the challenges of their education and life after school in our fast changing world.

### Strap line:

Maths, a lifelong journey of challenges to learn, grow and thrive.

### End points

• Students will have the confidence to solve mathematical problems in everyday life.
• Students will be able to use mental maths problem solving skills to respond to daily situations.
• Positive attitude and enjoyment towards using numbers and mathematical skills.
