Free School Meals during COVID


Sheffield City Council has made a commitment to make sure that no child or young person should go hungry during the Covid19 pandemic. We know these last 12 months have been a particularly difficult time for families with extra costs for food and energy.  Families that claim Free School Meals, that access social care or MAST, or get income assessed Early Years support are eligible for a £20 food voucher to help over the February half term.

SCC have again worked with Edenred, the company who managed the Free School Meals vouchers over the October and Christmas holidays. They have produced a unique code for every student eligible, which will be for a £20 food voucher for February half term.

You will receive a letter for the council containing your unique code.

You need to go to this website:   to get your vouchers.

Please note this website address is different to the one used for term time vouchers issued by school.

Then please follow these instructions:

  1. Enter your unique 16-digit eCode
  2. Select your chosen supermarket and check out
  3. Your eGift cards will arrive by email within 24 hours. Please check your junk or spam folder if you cannot find it

Please note you need to activate your code within 3 months, or it will expire. Once you have claimed your voucher on the Edenred website your voucher will be valid for 12 months.
