The Lodge

Heritage Park’s Inclusion team are based at The Lodge and offer provision to support disengagement and social vulnerability needs for secondary aged pupils.

The Inclusion team work off-site and in other settings offering the same skills and approach to learning and support that are available on the school sites and to also encourage access to them.

Learning at The Lodge can be within a group or 1:1 support. Pupils study a range of subjects and qualifications including: GCSE/Functional Skills/GCSE Entry Level – Maths, Functional Skills/GCSE Entry Level – English, GCSE Entry Level – Science, Functional Skills – ICT, GCSE Entry Level – DT/FT, The Prince’s Trust – PDE Qualification.

Pupils learning at the Lodge have a complementary programme of educational visits to support learning and enrichment outcomes.

Project Phoenix is an opportunity for pupils at The Lodge to develop social and life skills through a number of alternative activities, for example, Up- Cycling has been a successful project where pupils acquire, prepare and then sell unwanted items of furniture as part of an enterprise initiative.
